I had a lot of issues with the yaw sensor not liking me. Club rule is to keep all traction systems on but finally decided with the instructor that on exception at my own risk we can turn it off. Wasn't able to accelerate out of high speed or high angle bends, the cars traction control didn't like it very much.

A left a lot of room for improvement since I missed a few apexes and definitely had room left on the table all over the place. I'd like to break 1:40 as a goal, but that's a number and I've got lots of other things to specifically work on.

2:34.5 in my 2006 Z4M.

Not a great lap time compared to a Porsche GT3 RS record of 2:06, but this track has some long straights that really favour horsepower.

It was only in the last session of the day that I started to feel comfortable - I had my hot tire temps *way* too high (42 psi !!!). When I got those to a proper pressure things radically changed and I started to have fun.

I will definitely better this time by 5 to 8 seconds just by learning the track and driving better. Posting here for reference as I coudn't find anything that indicated a lap time for our cars at this track.

Cheers,
Eamonn aka eggman

Z4MC Lighting

Thanks Afrim!
Cant wait to catch up with you at an event soon
Seems like we've both been on a pretty cool journey in our Mcoupes
These cars are truly amazing

Ran with Metro PCA this weekend at NJMP Lightning
Was really pleased with the progress
Did a 1:17:02 with my 200lb pro instructor in the side seat
Unfortunately by the time i was alone in the car the tires had fully degraded but still eeeked out a PB

Track: NJMP Lightning
Car: Z4M Coupe - Stock S54, Half Cage, GC Coilovers
Tires: Direzza Zii Star Spec 275 Squared

Thunderhill East CCW Cyclone - 2:14.71

E85 Z4M stock
Kumho Ecsta PS91 tires

This was my last lap of the day (ramping up my pace as I learn to drive with TC off). The car still has more in it!

Nice job Hova
Way to get your E85 on the track
Don't see too many of those out there
I started on the Ps91 tire as well - tremendous performance in dry and wet for the money
nice choice

Barber Motorsports Park

Time to put the beautiful Barber Motorsports Park on the leader board...
2007 Z4 M Coupe (S54 stock motor).
Hankook Z214 275/40/17 square setup
Time 1:38.5

Video of 3 laps. Contrast on the video rendered dark in the cockpit. Second lap was 1:38.5. 3rd lap was on a predictive 1:38.3 until a P car blew my entry on the front straight!

Time to add a new Thunderhill configuration! West CW!

Stock E85 Z4M.
Federal Evoluzion ST-1 tires 265/35/19 and 225/35/19

Thunderhill West CCW (Normal): 1:40.48 (still learning the track and morning sessions were wet)

Bonus slide from the following lap (only 0.3s slower):

Thunderhill West CW: 1:34.143 (This is much closer to what the car CAN do on CCW)
I believe CW is a new configuration for this year, and is the first baseline for ZPost!

How do you like the Yokos? I was considering the A052’s as my next set.

I have 3 events on them, great feedback and grip. Similar grip to Pirelli Trofeo’s, stiffer sidewall.
