M Strut Cover Cap

Does anyone know if Part #3 from the diagram works for our cars?

Parts # 51717895251 & 51717895252 if wanting to order from dealer

I tried searching on here and went through a fair bunch of threads but saw nothing.

Tischer has them for sale separatly for $6.90 but can't confirm if they fit our cars.

Thanks

Not as good, but these might also look better.

Thanks

I test fit the hood emblem and it fits, have extras from my E36. If I were to put some sort of foam around the side to keep it in there it would work. I'll take a pic of what I am talking about. Sucks that there is no M cap for our cars.

Put a piece of rubber tape around them and they fit great.

Reviving an ancient thread - these shock tower caps are cheap and fit just fine, and "install" in about 15 seconds each - a light tap with a rubber mallet totally secures them in place. VERY nice cosmetic upgrade, and if you have some surface rust on the shock tops underneath, which seems to be fairly common, this is a great way to hide that and just create a cleaner look overall. One of many sources here...

"Before" pic of my current Z4MC, note the ugly orangey tops...

And the "after" shot:

Huge improvement IMHO, via cheap OEM part.
