My Friend Coupe totaled

My Friend Coupe was totaled yesterday (GTA Bathurst and Rutherford), old lady was driving on red light, when cop came he give ticket to my friend for the careless driving, although he was going on the green light. Too bad that was used to be my first coupe back in 2010, guy was saying I will never sell this baby and keep till end on her days.

Advises guys.

Collect any video of the accident; eyewitnesses.

That's fine that he gave the ticket. That's his prerogative.

However, never take this as the end of the matter, you get a chance in court to prove your innocence and make him or her look foolish. In fact in many cases, they (police) withdraw before the court date when they know you are innocent or in the face of evidence. Get traffic cctv evidence where possible.

Always use a car cam especially with an attractive car like a Z, never mind a Z4M. Tell him (your pal) Go to court and fight! Good luck to him.

Great news about this accident he "my friend' found witness, believe or not his coworker was waiting on "red light" on the other side while this accident happens. So he should be fine now.

As the cost to replace a Z4MC is somewhere north of $30K US, plus extra costs if your friend has to import the car from the US, I'd consider getting a lawyer involved.

Sorry to hear this- I know the intersection. If u want justice see a hooker, if u want to get screwed go to court. Thats my 93 year old father in laws advice!

Court was in my friend favor, so he clean now from ticket perspective as well Insurance paid him whole car cost back. Happy ending.

Glad it worked out. You always have to fight with the insurance company to get full value of your car.
