I actually had two of them go bad at once in two different cars. Some luck eh. The one in the Zed started throwing codes and lighting up the dash when the traction control kicked in. The E93 was more random but same symptoms of codes and dash lights. I think the E93 does that front brake trick where it uses DSC to keep the rotors dry and pads close to the rotors, which might have been what was triggering the failures.

I had my friend at BMW troubleshoot it. 2 fault codes came back which say that motor is no good. But I refuse to pay over 2000 to repair it. I will have it rebuilt in which will be put together in the sense of easy access to fix motor again if needed. Its a poor design.

My traction control and brake light come on yellow, sometimes, and they'll go out on their own too... I haven't had the abs light come on though.
Possibly the DSC module, or something else? |
