Definitely not until 2022. Merc is too far ahead, so we've gotta bank on Newey to develop a pretty fantastic 2022/2023 car to take the field by surprise.

I hope that is the case as I am a huge fan of Newey. He has more constructors championships than most teams. I am surprised that he has remained on the back foot since the end of the Blown Diffuser era.

Same here. He's seen off 3 WDCs in identical cars. Has anyone else done this?

I'm not sure that RB has necessarily been on the back foot in terms of car design - they've been known for consistently-incredible aero design (this season outlying). They've been lacking in the power department for essentially the duration of this formula, though. Depending on where they take the engine over the next couple years (since Honda's leaving the sport), they could finally be in a position to make up for that power deficit, at which point I imagine we'll see them keep much closer with Merc (and Ferrari, barring this season).

2022 is wide-open though. We all expect Mercedes to be strong, but with the budget restrictions and the disparity in infrastructure technology between the teams, P1 is honestly up-for-grabs by any team at this time. It just depends on how well they can capitalize on that ground effect, which given Newey's history, I expect RB to do very well with.

I really hope he doesn't get tantalized by driving for Ferrari just because. I don't want to have to root for a Ferrari driver.
Wait a minute mate ...It's not the engine or the car . It's the "DRIVER" !

Even in a dozer , HAM wins all the races !

The top snooker players are tested as for dope , speed , and antihypertensive drugs .
If they have to take medication due to illness , they must show the doctor's paper ...

I didn't even know what a cokehead was! I was thinking a boozer, which is why I mentioned the whiskey thread before to MXS.. but now you've put it on I gather it's American slang for a cocaine taker.

Ronnie did a few spells in rehab for drink and drugs...but not sure if those stays were for Colombian marching powder though.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around why a snooker player is referenced as to who the best F1 driver is past or present? Aside from the usual grasping at straws that is.

Yes my friend . I'm pretty sure Ronnie left the past behind him . And I'm 100% agreed with his statement .
Ronnie is Mozart in the snooker game . Love to see Ronnie in action , because he's the best !
The snooker sport is a fair game and cheating in the competition is impossible

Agree that snooker, like golf is great and everything is out in the open with no hiding place for cheating.
