Exhaust smoke concern?

Hi guys - had an awesome day at Caffeine and Exotics in Atlanta today with my Z4M Roadster.

On the way out, I had the urge to rev up my engine for the crowd (). Obviously I ensured that the engine was warmed up correctly (oil temp gauge) and I didn't get close to red line (6.5k - 7k rpm). My friend took a video (attached). Side note: the car sounds so good!

I noticed the exhaust smoke and wanted to check in with the knowledge of the forum to see if this is normal or if I need to be concerned about anything.

PS: let's not get into an argument about revving or not at a car show, Velocity was out their filming and everyone was giving the crowd a rev on the way out. Please save your judgement for some other time. Need some advice on the engine smoke!

Thanks!

this engine deserves to be heard!!! lol!!

from what i see thats not smoke... looks like normal condensation from a cold exhaust, worry if the smoke has a blue-ish tint to it.

enjoy your car, looks very nice!!

Agreed - if that's condensation smoke from a cold exhaust, then the engine really isn't warm enough for rev'ing up that high?

Unless the oil temp gauge is broken and it display runing themp the engine is warm. Probably a small amount of water trapped in the exhaust system. You should worry if the smoke never stops and the cooling system has to be topped up regularly.

condensation in the exhaust. no oil burn. it would be black and you can see through the vid it's steam from the engine, exhaust and pipes. I concur cold engine/exhaust.

Excellent comments above.
Blue smoke is oil. If it puffs ONCE in blue upon cold start up = valve seals.
That wasn't blue smoke and it puffed each time you gassed it.
Black smoke is rich fuel mixture.
That wasn't black smoke.
White smoke is water condensation inside the mufflers exasperated by oxygenated fuels.

You're free and clear! Enjoy that nice looking roadster!
