nav screen use queschines

Hello I had a queschin regarding the navscreen, I have the screen and no other components, i don't want or need to get the nav computer or replace the sterio is it possible to wire up the screen and a dvd player and whatnot in the back and just wire it to the aux impute for sound and use it for video playing and such so my wife has something to do on those long extended trips to Florida? Or do I need the whole shebang.
