San Diego locals: Buying a Z4M - Things to do/see in area?

Guys, I can't sleep from how excited I am. I'm buying a z4m coupe in San Diego. I'm flying from Florida to inspect and drive around the city. Later I will load it to a truck and have it shipped back home.

I'll be there next weekend (3/15) to drive the car around the area. Any suggestions on where to go to really enjoy the car? Mountain roads? Coastal roads? Some scenic routes? Need a local perspective!

Congrats!

Depends on what you're looking to do -- if you just want to cruise and enjoy the scenery, I'd recommend heading to the coast and going up Camino Del Mar / HWY 101 through Del Mar, Encinitas, Carlsbad, etc.

If you're looking to push the car on some backroads, unfortunately most of the good ones are a ways east (1-1.5 hr drive). I'd recommend checking out Sunrise Highway which goes through Mt. Laguna.

Enjoy the trip!

If you're doing backroads and already in the Mt. Laguna area, then head over to Palomar mountain as well
