San Diego Z4 Members Meet Up Thread
Hey guys, trying to gather together the SD Z4 guys for a meet NEXT week (March 24th-March 28th) I know most people work so lets get a poll started on which day will be best then we'll do a separate one for time on that specific day. The poll options will correspond to the day number of the month of March. Hopefully everyone checks this section. We can also figure out what to do afterwards, if anyone is a photographer a quick photoshoot might be a great meet idea. Post up opinions, comments, concerns, etc.
Thanks I've left the poll open indefinitely; but, lets shoot for a general consensus on what day by Thursday March 20th, 2008 so we have time to figure out a time. |

Hey guys, I originally voted on Saturday, but realized that I have an appointment at EuroRev in LA to get suspension work done on my car. I'm not sure how long that will take? How about Friday?

Since, Saturday does not look good for others, I can manage for a Friday early evening meeting. However, by the time I leave the office, get home, etc. etc., unfortunately for me, it will be until 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. that I will be leaving the house to wherever we are meeting, and hopefully the rush hour traffic will have diminished and not be a problem as well. Nevertheless, I will give it my best effort to be there on time! By the way, I am just curious at where is this meeting going to take place at? |

Sorry for the late vote - I just found the thread today. Thanks for setting up a meet - I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and can't wait to see the cars.
I can't do Sat. until late afternoon. I can't do Sunday at all. I voted for Friday. Thursday would work or any of the weekdays April 1-4. If it has to be on the weekend that is fine - maybe I'll get a change in schedule.

Looks like Friday (03/28) takes the cake. I was hoping to do a daytime meet so we can check out the cars, maybe shoot some photos and even go for a short cruise. But I think a lighted parking lot will do the same and a early evening cruise should be just as fun. Not sure where you guys are located; but, I've picked the Park & Ride off Mira Mesa Blvd right off the I-15 behind the big Best Buy. Here is a link to the location, if you Google map "Mira Mesa Park and Ride" you'll find it as well.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...04007&t=h&z=18 As far as time lets say 7:30 PM - ? Itinerary will be simple; meet and greet, wait for all the stragglers and take a short drive on Mira Mesa going East onto Scripps Ranch Blvd, end at the Mercy Rd exit off the I-15, park for a little bit, comments & concerns, and call it a night? If anyone has any suggestions or problems let me know. Thanks P.S: Go easy on me, first time organizing a meet. |

Great about the time.... However, and if I may add. Mira Mesa Boulevard is a total nightmare on Friday nights. Everybody, from grandparents to teenagers are on that road. It gets very very busy.... If I may say so, I highly recommend and suggest the meeting to be somwhere within the San Diego Spectrum? It is centrally located, there is a StarBucks, JIB, TB, etc. as well as other eateries, and plenty of space for parking, pictures. It does not get as crowded & congested as Mira Mesa... and it is not too far from from the 163, & 15 & 52. No to mention, traffic will be slightly moderate, especially on the weekends...Please let me know your thoughts on the location.... |

Great point 1st_knight. Never heard of the San Diego Spectrum before, I've heard of the Irvine Spectrum? What is it, a shopping center? This is what I found on Google maps if you can highlight the parking lot being mentioned I think that'd be helpful, Thanks
http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&...h&z=17&layer=c You get to figure out and coordinate the drive then because I'm totally lose on that side of the 163. |

The San Diego Spectrum is comprised of professional offices, commercial businesses and a few condominium developments.... The Starbucks that I am mentioning about is located at the SE corner of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard & Overland Avenue...9211 Clairemont Mesa Blvd... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...87,-117.131008 |

Sounds like a plan, any specific parking lot you want to meet in? Pick one, circle it on the map or be the first one there and wear bright red haha.
