Dynamic Brake Control (DBC)

Hope someone on here has some experience with coding out the DBC in our cars.

http://www.bmw.com.kh/asia/en/insigh...e_control.html

Always found our cars require an extra light touch on the brakes in a track environment.
Recently, read about this feature and believe it may be the root of it.

Hoping someone has done it and can feedback any observed changes.

Thanks!

A few people on Z4-Forum have done exactly that.

You can also over come this by being gentle with the trottle. Buy I agree, coding it out is the way to go.

What are the symptoms of this DBC interference?
I can't say that I've noticed anything amiss with my brakes on track.

Does DBC always remain on? Even when all traction control is turned off?!

Basically the brakes are inconsistent in their sensitivity. If you come off the throttle hard and go right on the brakes, the DBC system builds pressure so you get maximum (feels like it) braking with less pedal travel, thinking you're in an emergency situation.

That's why what Vanne suggested should work. If you are gentler off the throttle it likely won't activate DBC.

I wonder if my custom tune has this turned off. I definitely abruptly go from WOT to hard brakes and haven't noticed anything inconsistent.

In certain situations, it feels like the braking system is over boosted with minimal peddle movement to reach maximum brake and very little modulation.

Hoping to find someone locally to code this out.

I get this a lot during "normal" street driving.
Never learned to properly heel-toe, so I go from brake to stab the gas to brake very quickly on downshifts.
When I get back on the brake 50% of the time I get "hyper-brakes".

Same here - I specifically went back an analyzed my data overlaid on my videos and cannot see any signs of this at the track. I do however prime my brakes with my left foot when entering hard braking zones so perhaps that helps... or maybe the previous owner removed it.

if its only on with traction on, why would anyone bother to delete it?
Ill check my logs on the next run, however, as ill probably be deleting the brake booster, it will be of no consequence.

hmm.. nope DBC is always on regardless of DSC, the other one is connected to SBC, CBC, that gets turned off with disabling DSC (with the button),

DBC is a complete seperate system.
its ON even when DSC is off. (unless you've, or your tuner codes it off)

I think your confusing CBC with DBC mate

I have to admit I'm wrong and you're right, I confuse CBC with DBC ...

I am very sorry ...
