Detailer, LA Westside

A couple of us are looking for a competent detailer on the West Side of LA. I want someone who truly knows what they are doing, not just another "wax and go". No luck searching the forum.

TIA

Along the same lines, I've been looking for one in the OC if anyone has any referrals.

If you don't mind a drive, I had had great luck with Show Car Detailing in Anaheim (OC). Rick is a paint correction specialist / meticulous anal-retentive perfectionist ( in a good way.)
Expect a good ten hour day if you go.

Depending on what you want / need, the crew at the Malibu car wash (cross creek center) will wash, clay, glaze and wax a car with Autoglym for around $100. The glaze makes a significant difference. They do not polish or correct paint AFAIK.

For the OP,

I just had my car Opti-coat (pro) and Mitch spent 11 hours at my place going over a brand new car...he treated my car like his own... We went over the car with a twin halogen bulbs inspecting every inch of the car literally. He's mobile, I quoted several in the area, including Richard Lin and the downside is having to leave your car in OC and having to drive back and forth to get it. BRZ has soft thin paint...and Mitch did a great job of buffing out the fine scratches from the dealer and people checking out the car. His company is eco-shine auto reconditioning (818)339-4909.

I'm recommending him because he spent a lot of time with my car even new he made it even better and he's very polite and really into cars.. his work car is an Audi with all the detailing gear.

Just so you know...to do proper Opti-coat the paint has to be prep completely free of imperfection as the opti-coat will seal in the flaws until buffed away and addressed. Prior to opti-coat, after the car was washed, clayed, polished...we took the car out of my garage into the light to look for more imperfections to correct before the final process was done. He's based in Van Nuys...you can come to him or he goes to you...I had him come to my place so I can let me car cure for another day so it's done. He told me if I saw any issues...he would come back and take care of it... he doesn't just take the money and do the job...so I was happy I took a chance on him...I did a lot of research prior to picking Mitch. My co worker was impressed and want his cars done too.
