Has anyone tried this spoiler?
https://maxtondesign.ca/collections/...ft-spoiler-cap
Looks sort of like the discontinued OEM but maybe a bit taller. Trying to find a rear spoiler that looks like the original BMW piece. Thanks

That doesn't look bad at all, on my black coupe I think that would blend in nicely. Does the center logo look like something that could be removed?
I do really like the Skyler Time Attack spoiler but I just bought the Z4 so I'm car rich and cash poor at the moment.

I agree, I'll see if I can pry the emblem out with some heat then fill the hole and paint, the bottom looks like it could use some sanding to level it out as well for a flush fitting. Might also take some of the height down too to make it really look like the BMW version.
The FRP Skyler spoiler is going to run me a little over $700 with the exchange rate , shipping and taxes, the Maxton one I can have for $200. My labour is free, the sand paper, filler, paint and clearcoat are free as well, I have lots supplies from previous projects. I'll post some pics when I get it done.

Someone needs to make a mold of the oem spoiler. Its the only one that looks good.

You're right, I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet, Skyler is the most logical choice as they already have the customers base and infrastructure setup.

I'd take up WickedNy on his offer Maxton stuff is 4-5 months out anyway and nowhere near as good looking or quality. Grannyknot, if you'd like to have a look at skyer spoiler in person, I am 20 min away. Let me know.

Personal preference. For me personally the OEM spoiler does absolutely nothing for the rear end of the coupe other than just being there for a tiny cosmetic detail. Suppose it does a bit more for light colored coupes but on a black car it will just basically disappear and blend in. You can get a copy on aliexpress for about $150 or something like that. Not perfect fitment but it will do 90% of what the real OEM spoiler accomplishes. My 2 cents.

I have already ordered the Maxon spoiler for what it's worth, I'm pretty sure I can modify it so it looks half decent. The only Skyler piece that grabs my eye is the Autocross spoiler but it's just not in the budget atm.

So the Maxon spoiler arrived today, that only took 4 1/2 months.
It's different than I was expecting, for some reason I thought it was going to be thicker, but it's made out of 3/16th" ABS plastic sheet and heat molded into shape. The company stickers are smaller than they show on their website and they are the padded raised kind of sticker so it shouldn't too hard to remove them. I kinda like it but I'm also liking the hatch lid with nothing on it. I have to have the paint corrected so if I use it won't be until after that is done. Just thought some of you might like to see it close up.
