What do you think of this Z4
https://www.wisdommotors.com/vdp/179...Shade-NJ-08052
I went for a drive, and everything is in working order. Before purchasing, I would of course have my mechanic look at it, I have a couple very good local BMW guys. I also will not be paying that price. I have owned 3 BMWs, and researched what to look for in these. But what do you all think? I'm looking for a fun little project car for weekends...

The miles are very low for an '03. If the interior is not too beat up, it looks good from here. (I spend a lot of last year looking at Z4s, and finally bought an '08.)

I shopped similar Z4s and just bought an ‘06 3.0si that’s almost the same. Paid 14k but it has higher mileage. The motor for the top broke before I took possession and the seller fixed it. I’ve had it a week and I’m having a lot of fun.

It's good that the top motor broke before you took possession. That is usually due to flooding. Make sure you deal with that to prevent future motor breakdown.

The red calipers are a nice touch that a previous owner did, and somebody replaced the stock radio with something not standard. You might want to look into a newer, nicer radio, perhaps one with Bluetooth - call the boys at Crutchfield) and get those carpets cleaned. I agree with GARZ, it's strange for a dealership (or any seller) to post photos of a car for sale without taking care of that first. Other than that, from the photos it looks to be in pretty good shape.

There's a handful of options listed that the vehicle doesn't have. Use a VIN decoder to know exactly what options it has instead of relying on the dealers inaccurate listing.

Thats very similar to my 04, but w/o aftermarket wheels and suspension.
Be sure to lift the cover in the trunk and make sure they didn't hack up the wiring to get the aftermarket radio to work. Mine is still a mess... I still enjoy mine every time I drive it. |
