I'd say 10AM is more than early enough for first-arrival. There are some that can only make it out in the afternoon, and there have been requests to dyno first, and to leave early (which is TOTALLY fine!)

I just want it to be a relaxing time. Kind of a in & out dyno day, where we get to meet other enthusiasts. At least we mostly have Z4's
Of course, you're also welcome to stay the rest of the day. We might all have dinner together towards the evening, we'll see. But if there are some that can't stay all day, then let me know and I'll schedule your car to go up ahead of the others

Yeah I'm going to need to be one of the people that needs to leave by around 1PM, so hopefully I can get one of the earlier spots.

Yeah it'll be first-come first-serve starting around 10AM. You're more than welcome to "hit it and quit it"
If you can only stay for your dyno session, don't worry about it! It IS a dyno day after all.

Awesome meet, guys! Here are my results, looking forward to seeing all of yours to build our knowledge of how our cars power curves look with various modifications. Full details / discussion of why my VT2-500 isn't generating full power are at the link below.

If you don't mind, I'm curious what milage your cars are at as well. Mine is 38,500.

It was a great meet! It was nice to see everyone's rides and get to know you all a little bit. I'll throw up my dyno with milage here in the next few days.

BTW, this was the link to the Escort RD. Looks like it was to much hassle for the guy and unfortunately he stopped doing it.

I feel a tour de bay area needs to happen soon!

Thanks for coming out guys! Hope you all had a good time =]
I've currently got 4 dyno session vouchers left over for whoever needs dyno done. All still @ GB price of $75. All vouchers need to be redeemed on the same day, as if a quasi-dyno day part 2. Contact me if you're interested..

It's possible sometime in the next two weeks or so some of the issues with my kit will be sorted out and it will be time for another few runs, so let me know if a group starts forming and needs +1.

Great meeting you guys yesterday, sorry I had to leave half way through. Looking forward to seeing the videos of the cars that I missed.

Lon, did you get the electronic files of all the runs? It would be cool to see them all posted up here. Gotta represent the 286WHP stock output!

As soon as I can get my digital files I will be able to send them to ESS for diagnosis of my kit...eagerly awaiting them!

Also looking forward to more cars' stats, graphs, and videos! Here's a video of one of my runs (first one / best power):

I haven't received the electronic files yet, so we'll all have to stick with our paper printouts for now. You guys are more than welcome to scan them and post them up. I haven't gotten around to scanning mine just yet

I'm in the process of obtaining the DynaPack viewer files, so we have to be patient until those come in.

For now, here are some instructions on how to download the viewer program, and use its basic functions/features:

  • Download and install the DynaPack Viewer.
  • Run the DynaPack Viewer.
  • Place the mouse over the <F8> key on the screen and left click.
  • Press the "Import Files" button.
  • Locate the file you downloaded and saved on your computer. Highlight it, and click "Add" then "OK"
  • Select the "Vehicle Folder" on the left of your screen where you just imported the dyno results.
  • When prompted to overwrite the current vehicle setup, select "YES"
  • When the dyno chart is first displayed, you'll want to change a few settings (if they are not already set). Select Setup->System. Look under the "Power Correction Standard." Change the Standard to "SAE (adapted) setting.
  • In the "Units" area, select your preferred HP/TQ, PS/KW/NM settings -- according to how prefer to view this data.
  • Makes sure the "Correct Torque with Power Correction" checkbox is checked (bottom right of screen)
  • Press the <F10> key, then hit -- "OK"
  • Change the display: Display-->Flywheel Torque Graph.
  • Look at the various other display graphs as well.
    • Temperature Graph
    • Statistics
    • View Data. You can add/delete data columns on this display. You can also look at the individual data for each dyno run by changing the "Data source. You can also export the data from this screen into a spreadsheet.
  • Play with the software and you'll probably prefer it to a spreadsheet.
  • Export the data if you wish into a spreadsheet, and make your own graphs.

To answer Scott's questions...

I've got an '07 car, with 32k miles, and the following power mods:
RPi induction system
Active Autowerk ECU tune
JVT headers (SuperSprint copies)
SuperSprint uncatted section1 (s-pipe)
SuperSprint section2 (x-pipe)
SuperSprint race mufflers
3.91 final drive upgrade

My car put out peaks of 311rwhp @ 8000 rpms & 256rwtq @4024 rpms.

Upped from stock baseline peaks of 266rwhp @ 7265 rpms & 236rwtq @ 4552 rpms.

Total horsepower gain = 45whp
Total torque gain = 20wtq

With all the money spent, I'd say NA tuning has not been worthwhile thus far
Good thing I got some of the stuff for free (or at least for really cheap), and did most of the labor myself to save money

Very interesting data, thanks for the details!

Do you happen to have a video of the run? I'd love to hear that exhaust setup on a dyno...too bad I left a bit before your car was hooked up.

haha umm unfortunately, I didn't take any recordings. Especially since I was operating my own car on the dyno.

If someone else recorded, I don't know about it
I'll ask the folks that were there, if they recorded anything, but honestly my setup is just a bunch of nasty rasp hahah
