markos_z4 That black roof looks amazing with those wheels and that spoiler.

I felt like your reflection was some sort of mysterious message I had to decode.

Turns out it's just "the worry free cable experience"

Someone in the original design/group buy thread was concerned with rear visibility. Here's a shot from my phone in the garage, should give a pretty good indication of how much the spoiler "blocks" the rearview from the inside mirror.

I noticed some reduction in rear visibility but nothing annoying or distracting

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking for, here's a couple of shots with the shadow bumped up in Photoshop to show you more color and detail, but the way the spoiler sits, on a darker color like Interlagos Blue, it basically reflects the part of the hatch that is in shadow anyway so from the back, unless it's lit from underneath, it's always going to appear very dark.

It probably doesn't, but let me know if either of these helps.

Yeah. You'll notice it if you look for it, but once I'm driving I don't even realize it's there since I tend to just glance in the interior rear view mirror rather than stare at it.

To me, in my personal opinion, the effect on rear visibility is a non-issue.

Since you asked...

I wouldn't be comfortable doing this, but if you know someone comfortable with cutting up CFRP, you can trim the spoiler from where I've taped up prepping for paint, and fit it on the hatch's edge instead of on top of the hatch. That way it doesn't interfere with the mounting base of your active spoiler.

It would offer absolutely zero performance improvement, but look way damn cool. Problem is, the cut will have to be precise to follow the shape of the edge of the hatch (which, judging from mounting, the curvature on the bottom lip of the spoiler is dead-on) and someone will have to be comfortable reworking the CFRP because the cut would expose naked carbon fiber.

Plus I don't know if the spoiler is solid inside or hollow.

And you would have to destroy a completed, nice piece of CF art.

I wonder if Mr Zed4Mr is willing to help out by providing the 3D file for the spoiler mold, and if you can get a hold of 3D software and a printer to print a plastic version and then cut it to fit.

Would be a project for the ages.

I just put it on today. It didn't take long and I was extremely impressed with the fitment. Nice and flat, no wobbles.

Can't wait to get some more items from Skyer as we keep developing them.

Thanks Jordan, great work and product.
