H&R spring install

Question for anyone who has installed H&R sport lowering springs. The front springs came with this clear plastic tubing on the upper couple of coils. Is this plastic tubing meant to stay on or be removed? I believe it is supposed to stay on but just want to confirm with others who have the springs installed. I believe they there to control noise when the suspension is at full jounce and the coils make contact with each other. I've read some mixed reviews online about it and the H&R documentation makes no mention of it. Any help would be appreciated.

Really no idea on this. It's not there on the stock springs, so can't hurt to remove.

If these bind rotation against the perch I guess I could see them adding not reducing noise.

This is something new, the old H&R didn't have this.
I have seen it on other springs though.

I agree, it's there to reduce coil bind noise.
I would leave it on.

I left them on and installed them today. Did a test drive and all seems fine, no noise. So for now the plastic tubing is staying on, we'll see how it goes the next couple hundred miles. If anything changes I'll update the thread.
