03 z4 convertable Roof lock conversion?
Typical top issues and dont care if the top is automatic or not. Is anyone aware of a semi ready made solution to convert the electric roof latches to the manual locking kind of old?

I'm not aware of any quick bolt on solutions, but e36 guys do the auto to manual top conversion all the time. It may require swapping the top itself as well. I don't know if he latches are build into the roof assembly and can be replace easily. I would start with ebay by seeing what cheap parts could work. A company could make millions just building conversion kits for cars like these. Especially on a two seater, an auto top is completely useless and slow. Unless you have shoulder problems.

E 36 You say? I suppose what I need to do is start comparing parts diagrams from other BMW convertible tops and seeing if anything is close. The top plastics practically feel apart in my hands so I'm starting with as much of a clean slate as possible. Thanks for the ideas.
