Passenger door lock not working

I recently had my car shipped across the country to Boston and yesterday noticed that the passenger door lock is not functioning either with the console button or the key. When I press the button, the locking mechanism makes the normal noise but the door doesn't unlock. Any idea what this could be? Is there a way to reset the system?

unplug the battery. wait 5 minutes. then plug it back together.
should work..
