Thanks, very helpful.

Annoyed at myself that I didn't see the Cat Cams gb in time. I would've sprung for the 280/272... now the hunt begins.

nSo to follow up, i went with Evolve Carbon airbox. If i wasnt so ugly, i would post a picture of my ear to ear grin this airbox gives me. Great noise.

For those installing, two things.

Crank case ventilator that comes with kit is longer to reach airbox. The one sent in the kit is for european market, so it does not have the emissions bleeder. Get a heat gone and swap the short tube for the long one.

the throttle body clamps need to be position to NOT INTERFERE with the throttle body actuator linkage system. You will find out if it interferes if you got WOT and your car hesitates as though misfiring

Nope, just you'll get more return/fun from your cash. Unless your rules don't allow it?

Turner Motorsport is making their own version of the CSL Carbon Air Intake. Hopefully pre-orders will get fulfilled soon and someone will be back to report on their experience.

When did you place your order and what’s the date they’re looking to ship yours out? I ordered mine around 05/24/20 and estimated ship date was moved from late June to 08/04/20

Can you really hear it above your exhaust?

How much more of a difference in sound does it really make?

Still on the fence about this mod and am leaning towards the Evolve over the Turner.

My RPIs pretty much drown out the sound, but I can still pick it up every now and then. I didn't get it for the sound at all, though; purely for the performance benefits.

I have had mine for a couple months now but just got around to installing it last night. I still have to upload the tune today but first impressions are good. Fitment is great.

The only issue is my Rogue Engineering Racebrace strut brace no longer fits. I am not sure if this would be an issue with the OEM strut brace.

Where does the brace interfere with the box?

I've always wanted the Rogue (or Mason) race brace, been waiting for one to come up for sale but I have a replica OE style CSL box and it would break my heart if it didn't fit...lol

My Vac race box has the same issue, my RE brace won't fit anymore. I'll need to extend the strut bolts. Either that or drop the donk by about 7 mm. Karbonious fitted perfectly.

Sounds like a butt load of work. You should just sell me the brace

That would be my preferred solution... drop the motor a couple MM and move it back inch or two. Would do wonders to the handling.

I'll set the bar on top and take a pic so ya'll can see the interference. I love the race brace so I may see I can get it modified to fit.

Overall the box performed great yesterday. A friend had a private track rental at NJ Motorsport Park yesterday so I headed down for a couple laps. The sound of the box is intoxicating and the power seems great. Plus with the secondary air pump and all the factory intake system gone the car must have lost 20lbs off the front end.

Pics of the box as promised. In the 2nd pic you can see the Turner box lines up perfectly with the factory air duct. The third pics shows the clearance problem with the RE race brace.

I ended going with Randy from Epic Motorsports. I like that he races himself and tunes a lot of race cars.

Very nice, that’s good to know. I wanted to go with TTFS but they never respond to my inquiries on Instagram. I’ll probably go with Epic too, I've always heard good things about epic.
