Possible to mount factory seats lower?

Howdy!

Got my first track session coming up in a few weeks and being 6'2 240lbs I'm concerned my helmet will stick past the roll bar/hoop and my car will not be allowed on track.

Any big guys out there with the same experience?

Is there a way to mount the factory seat lower?

Thanks for your time!

JB

I'm *exactly* the same size, and I'm pretty sure I've got room for a helmet, but I've never tried. Not aware of any easy (or any for that matter) way to mount the seat lower.

Tested today, looks like it's a no go

Nothing objective to back this up but I swear my manual seats now feel like they go lower than my electric seats from before. Both have/had the M sport seats.

Else you can always replace driver side only with a bucket seat. If you to with bucket and no slider you’ll definitely pass the broomstick test.

That does not look like it will pass the broomstick test.
Have you looked at the seat rails? Might be able to shave them a bit.

The manual seats will drop about 1 inch lower than the electric ones.
