which air box did you go for and what was the price? did you keep the MAF? or did you go maf-less with a tune?
any issues during the install? did you DIY or get a shop to do it for you? very interested in the CSL box, as that is my next mod.. any issues you had fitting (as my understanding is) an e46 CSL air box in the z4m? how was general fitment? everything plug and play? nice car btw mate, nice pics.. car looks great mate

Airbox:
https://www.facebook.com/karbonius.fibradecarbono http://karbonius.es/web_ing/producto.../base_bmw.html The install of the Box is easy. You find some DIY videos on youtube. I don't use the maf. I need a air-temperature-sensor. The csl control-unit / snorkel is to long for the z4 engineroom and must be reduced. The tuning takes place on a dyno. Here you find some more infos of the karbonius box an there install. http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=480144 |

Great looking car! Absolutely LOVE that steering wheel! How does the Alcantara hold up? Thinking about redoing my steering wheel but my shift knobs Alcantara doesn't seem to be "aging" well lol

The remapped is perfekt: I re-found my "old" car !! In 2010 I up-date all the software from my local dealer.....and was more "easy": now it's a "bad-car", like from new !! Now I'm thinking also the cams ....

It is installed and the sound is awesome.
The flap is controlled like the csl by rpm (open by 4500, close by 4000) or the "sport" button. From 4000rpm I hear no exhaust inside. The intake sound is difficult to record with an mobile phone. I will take some clips with a gopro/external mic. 357ps, 362Nm. Last edited by evel karnievel; 06-13-2015 at 12:55 PM.. |
