NEW PICS
It’s been quite sometime since I have posted any recent pics of my car. Anyways, here are just a few that were taken just about a month ago on an early Sunday Morning. Nothing new to the car, I just wanted to share the beautiful San Diego weather and scenery…

Unfortunately they are not. I had purchased the lowest priced BBS R Series... BBS RX Series - Classic Line 14, 18x8 Inch - 38mm offset, One-Piece Low Pressure Cast Aluminum Alloy Wheel, Bright Silver w/ BBS 3D Silver/ Black Center Caps and BBS Aluminium Valve Stem Sleeves |

Replacing those BBS with Dinan's? Dude you're going backwards. I know you want to keep the Dinan theme going, but honestly doing everything Dinan for the sake of having Dinan parts ONLY sounds a bit silly. Especially since Dinan products are generally considered over-priced and slightly compromised performance wise.
You might think that going with Dinan you get the advantage of warranty if something breaks. But Dinan & BMWNA have already severed their relationships and you'll only see more and more Dinan dealers being phased out of BMW dealers in the near future, hence why BMW now has its own Performance Division. Sorry I have to be the devil's advocate. I like your car. But once you're more familiar with the BMW aftermarket theme you'll understand Dinan isn't exactly very highly regarded. |

Thank you for your comments and valuable insight, it will be considered. My son also shares the same thoughts as you with respect to the rims.... The reason why I went with Dinan was due to the very stringent Vehicle Emission Regulations here in the State of California. Even though that my vehicles engine modifications are subtle, being street legal and CARB exempt is an important issue for me. Believe me if I had lived in another state I would have went all out with the engine modifications, which would have been either a AA SC or an ESS TS SC, etc. All in all, I am very much satisfied with the Dinan products as well as with the authorized dealer who had installed them. Trip was great. My wife and daughter had a wonderful time. As for me, all I did was eat, drink and relax... Got to love the wine countries of Romania & Moldova in Eastern Europe... Last edited by 1st_Knight; 10-04-2008 at 01:28 PM.. |

How do you rate the Dinan STB? or is that what you have?
That engine cover looks great... I think I may have to pic one of those up.

Good luck finding one. When you do ask about the mounbting hardware. If it is broken or not present then you'll have to fab your own because I might have bought the last set and now 1st knight has them.

BBS wheels are the pinnacle.. the quintessential wheel for a fine German machine. Look at how many people have BBS knockoffs, the ultimate compliment to a timeless line of wheels. Dinan wheels? Meh. Dinan doesn't make wheels, somebody (perhaps Ronal) is merely OEMing them for them.
