2021 Nissan Z

Nissan just released a promo short which includes a profile of the new Z. The 240's of the early 70's were pretty cars! Then they morphed into velour lined luxo GTs for a few years (280 Z) etc. In the 90's my buddy had the 300ZX twin turbo and it ran sweet with 300 hp at that time. The new car is meant to have a twin turbo V6 of around 400hp and the styling seems to harken back to the original simpler designs. Lets wait and see.

I hope it'll be more CO2 efficient than it's predecessor.
The nissan 370Z costs where I live as we speak €111074,- (base price) due to it's emissions.
Yes that's $ 123719,-
Can't imagine them selling much in my country at that price
(in my neighbouring countries it's ~€34k-€39k)

Hard to imagine why anyone wants one other than diehard fans, when the competition had moved on from 2009.

I had one, it was never a sports car, it was a GT car that wants to be a sports car.

Always loved the Zs ever since I laid eyes on a restored 240Z as a young chap. Was one of the first in line for a 350Z too.... until I drove one. 370Zs are much better alas, I have already moved on. But if you think of the Z as Japanese brawny car then you'd get it. It's kinda like a Z3/4 M Coupe if you will but uncouth. The later models are good deals, for the same price of a BRZ/GT86, you get a more powerful car. Old world normally aspirated 6-cylinders with a nice exhaust tone... is it any more different than our 6-pot sporty bimmers?

Baby F-Type? Bring it on.

Grew up building multiple S13 240SX's and eventually a 08 HR 350Z... I loved it.

But like many others.. I've moved on; genuinely curious why it took so long for the next generation..

I trace my love for the Z4MC directly back to the day I bought my boss's '73 240Z from him in 1977. Z-car love ever since. l later owned a '78 280Z, and a '93 300ZX. Then Nissan lost the plot. Then in 2006 - Z4MC is introduced. Holy carp, I was in love instantly.

Hope Nissan hits the mark, but even if they only come close I still will give them much credit for staying with the Z...400hp and manual trans certainly intices.

From what Ive gathered the other cars in their lineup are quite average in the market and they lacked the $$$ for r & d for such a focused car. They ve basically milked all they can out of the current Z.
