245/40/18 and 275/35/18 on ARC-8 rub?
I have a Z4MC on stock suspension. I am looking at ARC-8 wheels in
front: 18x8.5 et38 with 245/40/18 tires rear: 18x9.5 et22 with 275/35/18 tires I searched this forum looking for answers and it seems there are users here with that spec in the Definitive Wheel Spec thread but conflicting information as to whether this will rub especially up front. Does anyone have a more definitive answer as to how well this will fit? |

I have 18 x 9 Front , offset +38, 18 x10 Rear , offset +27 with 245/40 front and 285/35 rear. This on suspension with a slight drop, figure 3/8". No rub up front. Slight rub with the rears on heavy g-outs/big abrupt road dips. In the rear the rub is occurring at the inside top of the wheel, not at the fender opening.
I think you'll be ok. Hope that helps.

I run the following setup lowered 1-1.5" on coilovers and ~2.5 deg of front camber. It rubs up front on full compression aggressive driving (track).
Front: APEX FL-5 18×9" ET30 245/35/18 Rear: APEX FL-5 18x10" ET25 275/35/18 Your proposed setup has a lot more tire height up front but the rear should be just fine. Apex's own fitment guide is a solid resource to use here https://apexwheels.com/fitment-guide...-fitment-guide Can compare your own setup using a tool similar to this https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...9.5&offset2=22 Last edited by 86Zed; 02-20-2024 at 01:27 PM.. |
