Cargo Cover removal?

I've done what I think is a solid forum search so apologies if I've missed this somewhere: can they rear cargo cover be removed with interior trim still in place?

I never use it and I now have a collection of like 3-4 of these super heavy, retractable, cargo covers from other cars.

I'm trying to do some basic things to lighten the car and this seems like an easy amount of weight to remove, higher up, that I will simply never use.

Anyone done it and can give some tips?
