E46 M3 vs Z4m oil pan difference

Does anyone know if there's a difference between the e46 M3 and Z4m oil pan? Visually, they look exactly the same, and I mean exactly.

The E46 uses the part number: 11137838130 while the Z3M and Z4M share the same part number of: 11137838132

I'm not sure if there's any differences or if the last digit is changed just because of the different chassis but anyone with any information or who has any experience would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

They are exactly the same. The Z4M uses the same front crossmember as the E46 M3, but a different dipstick / DME, so I suspect those two part numbers come with with either different dipsticks / seals or a different oil level sensor. But the pan casting itself is identical.

Awesome this is exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you! How is the Z4m dip stick different from the e46 if you know?

It's got something to do with the airbox, IIRC. I can't remember exactly. I know that the M3 has a different intake elbow and the vacuum lines are a bit different around the elbow, but I think the Z4M and M3 share the airbox plenum itself. So I might even be wrong about the dipstick being different.

Ah gotcha, yeah I know the Elbow is slightly different and the Z4m has a vacuum line off it. If the molding is the same I'm going to be going with an M3 pan since the threads on mine got stripped out from the dealer over tightening
