Losing power or battery drain.

Had a weird issues yesterday. I didnt get a chance to check the battery voltage but will do when I get home from work.

Basically yesterday am, drove to work, noticed the clock was reset. Ok no prob, set clock, drove to work, no issues. Going home, the clock reset again, set clock.

This am, start car, it crank and ran for about 10 seconds and shutoff. I check the battery terminals to make sure its tight and had to run off to work.

Going to check for codes later and battery voltage. I think battery might be okay, I replaced it last year i think. Not sure if its drain or something else.

Really weird, I check the battery and battery while car was on, all seems fine. I didn't drive it since posting (2-3 weeks), not on tenderer, car starts up fine with right clock since last driven. battery was reading around 12.5 off and 14 when running

Batteries are not like they once were. They come from the factory ready to good. NO prep, no charging, there charged and just need to be installed. However, as a result, there useful life starts at production, rather than activation like the old batteries.

You have a receipt when you purchased it. Now go over the battery and see if there is a production date stamped anywhere. That will give you how old it is really.

Whenever, I got the reset clock deal, in either very hot or cold weather, I knew it was new battery time.

Batteries usually last from 3-5 years depending on quality, maybe you have a weak alternator or a key off current drain.
