Hello Everyone

Hello, Just an old country boy ("boy" I wished) from Western Kentucky, USA.

My first Z4 and wished I had bought one 20 years ago.

I've been a mechanic for 60 years and never realized how far ahead BMW's were compared to American made automobiles.

I've been checking out the coding with NCS Expert at a basic level and have accomplished some successful results. Time to start digging a little deeper.

Never to old to learn something new.

Well done!
How was the drive from Dallas??

It's a beauty - these are becoming a rarity and are such a special car.

The paint/top color combo is awesome!

Pretty harsh if I'm being honest! The car has the stock suspension and my "maintenance records" are lots of trips to the dealership for service via the CarFax. So I can't say which parts are original -- nothing in the PPI came up related to suspension components being worn out.

My other sports cars were pony cars and a C6 Corvette, which was surprisingly comfy on the highway. The Z4 Coupe is not! I was expecting that, and it's not a DD, so no concern there.

I did notice that there was a lot of "play" in the steering when changing lanes and going over bumps etc., which there was a lot of in Texas and OK. The prior owner said it tramlined, but to me it feels like something else. Might need to have someone else drive it to get a second opinion. Basically, it feels like a car you want to keep two hands on the wheel when going at highway speeds.

Those M wheels look great! And they would look sweet on my 3.0si

Bicolor? Do you happen to know the style and diameter?

Edit: never mind... these appear to be period M6/M5 style wheels. I like the look

Hi guys,

I am Joël from Holland. I bougt my first Beamer a few months ago in Germany; a Z4 2.5 from 2003 with 122.000 km's. Really had (and still have) a lot of fun with it:

Also own my first car, an Alfa Romeo 155 which I've had since 2011.
