And they take your disagreements PERSONALLY, as if it's their first born you've insulted.
Find me someone on the grid who has accomplished as much as Sir Lewis has. Not even Nico (who won literally by 'luck') never amounted to this much.

I'll wait.
Nico is a clown just like Botta$$.

Don't move the goalposts, you're better than that. I was responding to your assertion "And he still has more rain wins than VER has wins, period." That's got nothing to do with preseason testing this year.

Nice to know even without Max in the conversation we devolve to this petty back and forth garbage.

Ah. If that is what you are responding to then the fact is the fact. Sir Lewis has more rain wins than VER has wins, overall. Look them up.

I'm not sure what level of proof is enough, but half this forum literally hates Lewis for less.

Those articles are at zero, regarding levels of proof, especially with something as subjective as likability.

As for Lewis, I'm not in that crew, so don't expect BS to have any effect on my ability to make my own decision. Only thing I've ever said against him is that we can't say which driver is definitely faster unless they are all driving the same car.

People are just haters.

So many great headlines too.
Perez - Couldnt keep up
Bottas - What a day...
Russell - Probably shouldnt have.
Norris - Amazing work
Ferrari - Solid
Riccardo - Still slower?
Vettel - Seems not to have it anymore
Hamilton - Good results considering
Max - Well done
Gasly - Good recovery
I agree with this whole list.

I would add Tsunoda - You almost proved something...
And I would amend Bottas - I'd like to forget this weekend

Fantastic drive by Max.

Yes, Lewis was very lucky he made his mistake right before the red flag. Yes, he did make a fantastic recovery.

Max was the better driver for sure this race.

Russell apologises.
IMO the best thing he could do to move forward.

Russell's apology has a close connection with Toto's reaction..

I agree. My take on it was Bottas moved to the right.

But such is reality sometimes. Totto's interest is Mercedes right now, not Russell, as much as he is a very viable candidate to replace Bottas.

Since you track your cars you probably know that the track can also move relative to the cars position in kinks, such as the spot of the combustion.

Racing incident but more RUS than BOT as there is ample racing room left to RUS. BOT had his right tire slightly over the white line splitting the track. RUS had plenty of room. Red mist and eagerness mistake.

Yea, Russ anticipated Bottas moving much more than Bottas actually did. He didn't trust Bottas was going to leave him enough space, but that's on Russ.

This was literally a situation of: Let the race come to you.

Sure. Also see how much Bottas moved from the left towards the right in the last 50 or so meters before they hit each other. Looks to me like he was trying to block Russell.

Numerous overtakes attempted and made cleanly on the end of the main straight during the race wherein the driver being passed on the inside kept their line.

In any case, the Williams had no business overtaking the Mercedes but that's what happens when you have Russell and Bottas as the drivers.

In any case, Bottas clearly underperformed in this race.

as i ve said earlier.. i believe that incidents blame is more on Russell.. there was room for him but wet patches and parts wasnt in Russell snap decisions.. its part of racing though..

No doubt on the last statement!

Here is the video.

Go to the 20th second and you can see that there is ample room for RUS and that BOT is sighting the next turn. I don't have a dog in this fight...I think it was a racing incident caused by youth, inexperience and a little red mist. Once his right rear is on the grass at that velocity, it all ends in tears as we all plainly saw.

A tough situation for sure. On a dry track, Russel had room. On a wet track with only one real line, its more difficult to say. I think "Racing Incident" is the best way to write this one down in the history books.
