HELP.. Z4M R won't start

Any tips for trouble shooting would be greatly appreciated.
Last night I plugged in a brand new FM/Bluetooth adapter to the lighter socket. Then I went to start the car.
The car wouldnt start, cabin lights flickered. I unplugged the FM/Bluetooth thing and still nothing.
I checked the lighter fuse, the ignition fuse, the immobilizer fuse and several others - all were OK.
The car won't start and I can't think of what to do next.
The lights, door locks and radio work.
The top does not - however I was able to put it down immediately before trying to start the car originally.

Could this be a battery issue?
Or?

Any ideas or past experience is welcome.

Can you test the battery voltage? Does it click or do anything when you try to crank it? I had an issue with the BST on my car (https://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1390948).

Internal electrics worked (including softtop motor), but car wouldn't crank or start.

Hi, no... the car doesn't crank at all. It doesn't click either.
The windows will work but the roof doesn't. Once I turn past accessory though it all seems to die.
The radio does however work.

I have a trickle charger that I'll use on the battery when I get home tonight.

Do I need to disconnect the battery first???

It's not the battery.
Going to check, and if necessary, recalibrate the RF connection between the key and the ignition next.

Can you see voltage at the positive terminal under the hood? That would confirm proper connection through the main cable and BST.

Quite sure your battery is dead.

The lighter socket is not a key-on or off, it simply stays on all the time having other accessories plugged in would have likely drained the battery out.
