Official Space Gray Thread

Well, it's about time Space Gray got its own thread. Since it's a pretty rare color, both coupes and roadsters are welcome!

I'll get it started with a few of my own that I haven't already posted...

And just a few unedited leftovers:

I know most of you hate the wood dash and trim,,,.. but I LOVE IT!! It was actually one of the options I was looking for..

I think it works well with the light sepang and extended leather interior...

This was a pic from the first day I brought her home.. ZHP knob is installed now.. It is one of my favorite mods..

I've been curious too. Ideally we'd have 2 cars parked next to each other and taken in the same shot for this... but i'll post 2 separate pics anyway, one is a random i just found on google...

first pic is mine (space grey with the white garage door behind it)
next pic is a random off the web, (claims to be a silver grey)

Okay....I have a question...I see three grey colored Z4's today. One was certainly Space Grey (wow nice), the other a light grey (Silver), but the third was a colour of Grey I have never seen on a BMW before.

The colour actually had a tinge of green, or so it appeared. The car was parked right in front of me. I asked the owner (lady) if she knew what colour this car was. She said, yes, it is called Mystic Grey. She said the car was special ordered at the time.

The car was a 2008 Z4 3.0si model (absolutely beautiful). The colour of the interior was light sepang (yep...she knew that too). But dam if I could take a picture...as my cell battery died as I was about to take the photo.

If this car was for sale...I'd now have two in my garage!!!

Anyone know of this colour? Mystic Grey??

My old Silver Gray roadster on the left, and my current Space Gray on the right. Not really a whole lot of difference, depending on the lighting. The space gray is slightly darker and a deeper gray, while silver gray has a light blue-ish hue to it.

I do love my black...but to be honest, I'd trade my Z4 with 15k on it for her car in a minute!

However the link provided in a previous post shows that this might be closer (note greenish tinge).

No Mystic Gray for the E85/E86 in North America. You talked to a lady who didn't know what she was talking about.

It's Stratus Gray in the first picture you posted. It's got a pinkish/greenish hue to it. In the second picture you posted, it's a Sterling Gray, which has a browish hue to it. Those are two very different colors.
