Tie rod Q inner vs outer

So I have my suspension, front control arm off.. Only thing holding is the tie rod. I figure if I have everything off, might as well change that too right ?

So at what point do you change the entire inner and outer vs just the outer end ? I can save some $ by just changing the outer for 35 each vs 150 for entire set.

Car's at 85k.

Replace both. Mine is at 94k miles and I just did an entire suspension refresh and the only part I didn't do in the front was the inner tie rod. Well guess what...it's bad. Which also means I need another alignment done. I'm just going to take it to the shop and have them do the rod and alignment at the same time. I feel a light click in the steering wheel and can see some play in it. I do quite a bit of AutoX so mine takes a beating.

Sounds fair.. yeah, I guess it isn't a lot more to do the inner one as well. At least with fcp, its life time warranty.
