Anybody Removed a Skyer Spoiler?
Hi All,
I'm looking at a really beautiful 2007 Z4 Coupe. Only issue (for me) is that it has a tail spoiler manufactured by Skyer, which I understand is a respected aftermarket option: https://skyermotorsport.com/products...3-08-pre-order Personally I'm not a fan, and would be happy to send it to a fellow Z4 enthusiast. But I'm concerned that removing it will damage the paint beneath... Seller says that it was attached using just the double sided tape that Skyer provided, and that it should come off no problem. Has anyone had any experience taking one of these off? Any damage? Tips for doing it correctly? Thanks! Joel |

use a heat gun and fishing line or dental floss (that will break a ton/take longer, but it works). go slow. removing the residue will likely take a clay bar and then some polishing depending on how anal you are. it'll be fine, though - i would not let that deter me from buying the car.

Awesome, thank you! I found a few videos online offering similar advice, seems like a bit of patience should make for a clean separation.
Assuming the purchase goes through, I will post the spoiler here for someone who might want it. Thanks, Joel |
