Looking into getting some kind of stripe on my z4, need opinion!

Zgirl4u, I was just messing around with ya.

But imo, stripes are a style issue and have nothing to do with speed. yes, I do think its stupid when slow cars have stripes, but i don't consider a Z4 a slow car.

That pic the other member posted with the silver car with subtle gray stripes looks pretty good actually. I like it how its very subtle and it flows good. Just don't make it too extravagant. Subtle = good.

I agree with this. There is a white M Coupe with the BMW stripes accross the body and it is a little much IMO. Subtle looks the best on the Zeds.

If you want to stand out, big BMW stripes across any part of the body is the way to go!

In the old days it was a two stripe thing side by side, often off set to go down the drivers side. One of the stripes was larger than the other. But you might look at Mtheroy's picture of his car with the M stripes over the door/fender.

Seriously, people on the Z4 forums go out of their way to be nice for the sake of being nice. You can mod a dead cat on your hood and people will still give you praises.

Please don't put racing stripes on a BMW Z4. If you want to be different, get aftermarket rims, get a suspension drop, or get the aerodynamic side skirts. Leave the racing stripes to riced out mustangs.

I had black stripes on my Copper S..loved it.

I'd say the subtle M stripes like the BMW M Coupes they had, but those would be best for the M.

For one of the BMW Drive for the Cure events all cars were silver with white checkers at the back or front on one corner.,.it was subtle and looked decent.

If you like it do it..but if you are going to ask here you will get opinions in all directions.
Do it and if you like it and are not embarrassed by the result enjoy it.

I'm not so sure about racing stripes on Z4...There are only few cars those can flow with stripes IMO. But I wouldn't do it on Z4 unless it's coupe and highly modified.
