Sorry to resurrect this thread. I have my sunglass holder down. My little latch mechanism seems to work fine, but it doesn't catch the 'lid' correctly. Perhaps these deformed over time and that's why they are falling?
I'm experimenting with magnets and thin steel to hold the unit shut, but the distance for the magnets is super far. I say all that, but what I'm really looking for is has any ingenious members of zpost figured out how to modify these sunglass holders so they continue to function as sunglass holders?
