Non-M Z4: Stabilizer/sway/anti-roll bars

Can we talk stabilizer/sway/anti-roll bars for Non-M Z4?

Most places seem to only sell a rear bar.

Also...can it be confirmed which OEM bars work front and rear?

H&R does a 'non-adjustable' kit
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/BMW...-sway-bar-kits

Ground Control does a kit that you can choose allllll the stiffness front and rear....and is adjustable
https://groundcontrolstore.com/colle...g-sway-bar-set

Found this data:

....3.0si Std....Sport......H&R......Dinan......Z4M......E46 M3
F......24..........25..........27.........25...... ...27..........27
R......18..........19..........21.........22...... ..22.5........

TC Kline sells only a front 30mm adjustable bar.
https://www.tcklineracing.com/webdoc.../Details96.cfm

The sent this in response:

...the sway bar on our site is a 30mm front bar.
...We do not recommend a rear bar - it make the car twitchy on entry and more difficult to put power down...

I'm inclined to follow their recommendation.

I drive the car on the street and track quite often. What are peoples thoughts?

I'm not convinced no rear bar is the way to go... 18mm rear bar with 27 (30 or) front should give you the maximum ratio (that is what I run). I tried looking for smaller rear bars so I at least have something, but couldn't find. There are some threads here of folks going back to a rear bar because of some negative effects it had in cornering.

rear bar, once adjusted properly, and the car corner balanced made a world of difference for the better.

I have a H&R rear swaybar, but that is definately adjustable.

I think for the stock z4 (non m) it's even more important to upgrade the rear arb than the front one.
The z4 has the tendency when cornering and accelerating, to sag its rear outer corner. That's probably a safe suspension setup (creates a little bit of understeer) but not the most performance orientated one.
I use a H&R rear ARB (21mm, I believe at it's middle setting) and a 26mm M3 front ARB.
I think there is not that much need for extremely stiff arb's in the front in the stock z4: the aluminium m54 and aluminium/magnesium n52 engines are much lighter than the cast iron s54.
(a 30mm arb in the front and no arb in the rear doesn't sound like a good balance to me)

Partnumber for the rear H&R arb is 33276HA (HA means HinterAchse, which means rear axle in german)
Front one is 33276VA (VorderAchse, front axle in german)
33276-1 is the complete kit: front arb 2 setting adjustable rear arb 3 setting adjustable.

Well documented that folks are running the E46 M3 Front ARB on the Non-M Z4, but what about the the factory Z4M Front ARB? Fitment better or worse on a Non-M Z4?

I'm looking at swapping the roll bars in my 04 3.0i and I could use some advice. I'm currently leaning towards the ground control option but I'm not sure what sizes I should specify.

My Z is a weekend fun car not a track monster. I'd like to be able to do some "spirited driving" and maybe kick the back out on the odd corner but ultimately it needs to be practical for on-road use. What sort of roll bar setup should I be looking at? Stiffer front, stiffer rear, keep the factory M sport bars, something else entirely?

Per my original post. Stiff in front, soft in rear.

I ended up going with H&R front and rear for track use. Full stiff setting front, full soft rear.
