Daily I run a set of arc-8s with no rubbing:
Front - 18x9 Et 42 (plus a 12 mm spacer) on 255/35/18 Conti Extreme Contact DWs

Rear - 18x10 Et 20 on 275/35/18 Conti Extreme Contact DWs

The set up I am considering is the FL-5 18x9.5 et28 square and would like to run 265/35/18 or 275/35/18 RE-71R or Rival S - Does this sound possible? My best guess is it *may* fit...
Thanks for the post! The 18x9.5" ET28 square fitment can be done, but will likely require even more negative camber up front. This size is designed for the M2 has not been released yet so we have not done any in-house testing on other chassis at this point. The rear will of course be an easy fit given your current setup.

Sounds like a pretty rad car, If you decide to try it, please do post some photos!

Thanks
Thank you for the message, sorry we missed that reply in the other thread!

We would still recommend the 5mm spacer to clear KW/Ohlins systems up front due to the over "bulkiness" of these kits over stock. The extra 2mm of clearance that you gain with the 19x9.5 ET33 over an ET35 is not sufficient enough to clear the suspension, in most cases.

Although this is also affected by tire size and compound, we would recommend a 5mm spacer just to ensure proper clearance without risk of rubbing on the coilover.

I hope this helps clear up this confusion!

Thanks for your response Max

Since 18x9.5 ET35 front setups are able to clear with 5 mm for KW/Ohlins/Bilstein... Would it make sense that a 3 mm spacer would be sufficient on a 19x9.5 ET33 setup bringing the effective offset to ET30?

If the 3 mm spacer would be sufficient it would eliminate the need to possibly get the TMS front hub extenders with the use of a 5 mm spacer?

Now available: Federal 595RS-RR Tires

APEX is proud to now offer Federal 595RS-RR tires with our wheels. This tire is an excellent and much more affordable option for those looking for an aggressive track-focused tire that can still be used on the street.
