Please help me with the oil and oil filter and this part.
HI guys,
Please help me!! I am from Mexico, I just bought my Z4 2.5si E85 2007 and I want to change the oil and the oil filter, it has 90.000kms (56,250 miles), do u recomend me to use 5w40 instead of 5w30 ? y mi Mini Cooper R53 it has almost 60,000 miles and I use Red Line 5w40, as I know its an excellent oil, here I cant find it so always buy it here at USA, but with the Z4 I dont know where to buy the filter and the oil and how much quantity to buy of oil, please help. Also I need to change this piece (Image attached) in both sides of my car and I dont know the name in english and the part number to see if I can buy it also at USA too, check price in Mexico before buy it. |

Its FCAB, you may want to inspect that whole control and section and check, you may want to replace the entire section
http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/fcab/ Might need to check your years, 2007 should be 3.0 + not 2.5. Check fcp euro, I dont know if they ship to your location, but they offer life time warranty https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...uty-e46cakitmy

On the oil - yes, the 5w-40 would be correct. I'm not sure if the Red Line oil is certified by BMW or not. I've been using Castrol Edge 5w-40 for the last couple of years.
The part shown is a FCAB (Front Control Arm Bushing). Many different suppliers for those things. Sometimes a pain to get the old one off of the end of the control arm.
