Need new clutch questions ???????
I may need a new clutch. I currently have a JB racing clutch and flywheel for my 2006 Z4 M coupe. Should I just get a stock clutch back on? This car will also be pass on to my 17year old son.
Please let me know if the stock clutch is good. I never drove with the stock clutch on this car. It already had the JB racing clutch installed. |

I just had a stock clutch/flywheel and Autosolutions shifter installed on my car. Prior to this, I was running on the stock clutch/flywheel/shifter with 151k miles on the car.
Big difference. No more chatter from the flywheel, smooth engagement. The pedal feels lighter than it did before. This is also the perfect time to upgrade your shifter assembly if you're still running the stock one. |

Price for a clutch job varies with shops, but the labor for your Z4M should be around $1500 + parts or no more than $2200. To give you a baseline my old Boxster was about $2200 OTD and my old 911 was about $3400 OTD.
Clutch replacement is easy it can be done in 10hrs or over a weekend depending on experience. You can save a lot on labor if you have the time and equipment. |
