I found this clip (?) on the floor under my passengers seat. I don't know what it is. What is it?

Well, all I had to do is look under the driver's seat to locate the clip. The clip fits around a plastic piece that fits around one end of the motor/axle that drives the seat fore and aft. Unfortunately, the plastic bit is broken, so I'll have to see if BMW sells just that bit.
