Opinion on Aero bumper?

I'm contemplating whether or not I should go for the Aero bumper. At first I didn't think too much of it, especially considering it has the older style round fogs but after seeing a picture of it on the post-facelift, I realized it looks pretty good. Only thing is I think it looks better on the roadster and I have a coupe?

It comes down to either respraying my current non-M bumper, or going for the Aero. I've ruled out the M bumper.

Some random pics I found on post-facelift Z's with the bumper... I believe the white one also has the skirts too.

What I really like is how on the side profile the bottom chin doesn't sink in like on the M's, not to mention they are more readily available than the M's

+1
That is my least favorite part of the M bumper. The side profile of the aero bumber looks very good.

How much you want your /m bumper for, lol j/k

What color is your mc btw? Post up pics as soon as you get it done, can't wait to see how it looks on the coupe...

Also where are you ordering yours from, Tischer?

my M is SMB, but had some minor damage (cracked paint and the headlight washer cap missing), so i'll probably be letting it go for dirt cheap once my aero kit is on..

i ended up ordered from my local dealer who was able to come close on pricing, but i still was subject to CA tax

pics will be up once its done (and i install my springs & ZCP's)

Two weeks ago, and when I placed the order on the Aero Bumper & Side Skirts for my son (elude). According to our local BMW Dealership, I was informed that there were no Aero Bumpers in stock anywhere in the U.S., and it had to be ordered from Germany. In my opinion, who knows how many still remain at the main factory. You all know the old saying, "available only while supplies last"... For less than $500.00, primed & shipped, and to those who do not mind the look or style, it is a decent buy. Again, that's my personal opinion only.

Of course there will be some friends over to help work on (before the beer) and admire (after the beer).

A note about aero bumpers on a post facelift car, you will need to replace the fog lights with the round ones if you have them.

when you ordered from your local dealer - did you give them that parts list from the other thread, or did you just tell them you needed an aero bumper for a post-facelift z4, and they then figured out the parts list?

also does anyone know if that list above (which was for the m-coupe) would be the same as a non-m coupe?

i have no faith in my local dealership and if i do order the bumper, i'm tempted to just order the 'kit' from Tischer so i know everything will arrive complete. tischer is charging $680 though, how did you get your bumper for $500? did you order the pre-facelift kit since you won't be utilizing the fogs on the m?

I like the M bumper a lot, but the loss of fog lights kinda sucks.
