Advice of lowering springs

Looking to lower my 03 Z4. Anybody know any good lowering springs to take it down to the wheels to fill the gap?

Thanks

I'd recommend the H&R Sport Springs which will give the car a 1.25" drop in the front and 1.5" drop in the rear. These will help fill in the gap and firm up the ride without being too aggressive for street use.

Either eibachs or H & Rs. You might as well upgrade to yellow Koni adjustables. GL

If your car already has the sport suspension, I wouldn't lower it at all. When you get much lower than sport, you start scraping the front spoiler and possibly doing damage to other parts as well. However, if you don't have sport, go with H&R as I believe they are the best aftermarket spring for BMW's.

What part number were the springs? I could have sworn the h&r webby claims a drop of 1 inch front and back?

Part number 29119-1

Bloody hell, and there I go digging up old threads....

Gotta love it

Agreed. I had the H&R's on my car for about 3 entire days before going back to stock. Lucky for me I noticed the car seemed to appear much lower than I was expecting, so my wife and I drove to my office just to assess if I was going to be able to get in/out with scraping. She got out to watch and the look on her face was pretty clear. So I stopped, let her get behind the wheel, and I observed. No way in hell I was getting in that garage without scraping. So 3 days after install there was an uninstall. Sold the H&R's to someone here for something like $50. Just wanted a quick sale so I wouldn't have to look at them laying around as a reminder of all the beer I could have bought. lol

I've had them on for 3 years now. No problems what so ever. My front bumper is looking as good as it was 3 years ago

Acceptable for a seasonal job. 1-2 hours.

However if you're concerned about bottoming out on snow at 1" lower, you're already driving through snow that's too high regardless IMO.

if its just a 1-2 hour job while changing my wheels anyways that's fine. i'd rather raise it up for the winter to avoid having my bumper act as a snowplow...
