I imagine the time allowed to return this item (for an exchange/ refund) has been extended?

I installed mine and noticed something very interesting... If I disconnect the IPOD when I stop and connect it when I start each time, I have no problem with it repeating. But, if I stop and leave the IPOD in the car connected, and then return later it starts repeating and sets the IPOD Repeat setting to "ONE". Just another little piece of information... Chuck I

Ya, I noticed that too, it seems like when its connected the entire time the DICE starts fumbling with the settings on startup

Firmware updates are free - however the return window would still apply.

I'm currently in Florida. I believe I purchased the dice unit on the 3rd of march. I will be able to ship the unit back on the 3rd of April, is that acceptable? I would want to keep the unit only if this issue can be resolved. I guess I was asking if we should just wait and see what/if the solution would entail. But it sounds like sending it back for a refund and purchasing a later release is what you would prefer? Thanks.

This would be totally up to you, however firmware updates will always be free.

Not necessarily - we'll have a solution shortly.

Worked fine for about 2 weeks now and then it just started the repeating thing.

Also, it displays TEL at the far left of the display. I thought it was supposed to display DCS1 or something else. Also, when I hit R/T it never full disengages the ipod displayed info and it will show me a name in the phone book and then back to music info without hitting R/T again. As I scroll through the phonebook the same thing happens with each name. What's going on with that?

cardebt: The DICE uses the txt display from the bluetooth tele display. What this means is that it essentially overrides any usage of the radio aside from through the DICE interface. Which means if you hit CD1 to change base/treble you need to do it really fast b4 the DICE takes over again. Sounds like it does the same thing for phonebook scrolling. One of the quirks for full browse ability I suppose.

Ive been holding off on buying one since I read this post, I don't want to get a faulty unit and would like to know if there is an answer yet

Nothing from DICE yet on this particular subject, but we will report as soon as a fix is available.
