Z4M Passenger Side Fender Liner (51718046084?)
Dear All,
When I was was washing my car this weekend, I noticed that the passenger side (right) front fender liner was broken. It was not too surprising, given the previous owner did unfortunately scrape the underside of that corner at some point in his decade-long ownership. May I have your advice on the following: --- Would 51718046084 be the right part number for this? --- Should I source this part online, or go to the dealership (US, Midwest)? Are dealerships open to just selling parts without doing the work? I would love to DIY or have my Indy help me out. --- I also noticed a few missing screws around the wheel well and other plastic covers underneath the chassis. What is the best way to find out what kind of hardware I need and where to source them? Many thanks for your guidance! Zed |

This is the exploded diagram to look at for fasteners, etc.
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...51#51718046084 You can absolutely order parts from a dealer and DIY the work, or take the parts elsewhere. Most dealerships offer a small discount on parts to BMWCCA members FYI |

I am interested to hear if you went ahead and replaced your fender liner yourself, as one of mine has a minor crack in it. If so, was this a bumper off job, or is it possible to replace the piece without removing the bumper?
All of the plastic and fasteners are still where they should be on mine, so if the liner is difficult to replace, maybe I’ll just leave it as is. Does anyone know if the left and right liners help support the front bumper in anyway, or are they there just to keep debris from entering the wheel well area? And $200+ for each side - that’s some pricey plastic!

Wheel liners can be replaced without bumper coming off. But for the other plastic bits behind the liner and bumper, bumper will likely have to come off
