Karbonius CF reproduction of standard S54 plenum **PROTOTYPE VIDEO**

What's the status on this now that we have the minimum order size commitment fulfilled?

I'm interested in this for my S54 Z3 M Coupe. Really don't care about the power gains, just want to see if someone can make a different plenum that doesn't require tuning/etc that gives decent sound.

Nothing yet, but I’ve asked for an update. I’m honestly not expecting it to go quickly since they’re likely to be fitting it in around their regular business.

One item of note that is also going to be a deal breaker for a lot of people is if this new plenum requires bending the dipstick tube or not like the other CSL style airboxes out there. Given that this isn't being designed for increased airflow and just sound, i'd hope this thing doesn't require that.

It should be exactly the same as the standard plenum, so if you don't have to bend the dipstick tube now, you shouldn't have to with this either!

I hope it is ok to post this Herr now… if not, please delete it

I developed an other Soundsolution, if you are interested.

But at first!
It is just for the passengers. The Sound is really similar to an airbox (85 to 90 % like real Airboxsound) into the car.
Outside it is stock (no airbox Sound outside). That means it is legal in germany (you need no „TÜV“)
As well it is not clearly visible (look at attached pics).

It cost 285€ plus shipping from germany. The Materials are all new and high quality“

It is a selfmade and selfdeveloped Soundgenerator for the Z4M and it takes just 5-10 minutes to install. No softwarechanges nessecary, no bad disadvantage for the engine, absolut no impact to the engine (no disadvantages, no advantages, just nice Sound Into the car😍&#129321!

Very interesting, reversible except for the hole in the firewall but you could a put a rubber plug over it.
I assume there is an air tight diaphragm in your set up to keep un metered air out of the intake?
I think that is the cleanest engine bay I've seen in a long time.

Yes, I use a membrane to stop wrong air for engineintake

And the hole in the wall is already there from the factory on every Z4M.

That means: just lose two screws… remove the airintaketube und fit my solution with new airintaketube in. Thats it 😁

At the moment you just have to say you are interested in buying it if it works out. Once the test plenum is made, you can then decide if you will actually buy one or not. Karbonius will ship the plenums from Spain, so postage to Germany is probably easier/cheaper than many of the rest of us. I'll add you to the list.
