I'd say so, if you're just doing some spirited driving on the street no extra cooling is needed. The OE brake ducts are not directing flow at the discs, some of the air flow might get there but not much.

It should be pointed out that, in the US at least, the brake ducts are blocked off from the factory. Two little plates that are easily removed to allow air flow through the duct into the wheel well.

Same in Europe, however even with them removed they don't direct any air at the discs. The wheel well will however be filled with air which both has it's pro's and con's.

An update is in place. My brother has been working on the printer this weekend and changed out a few stuff and installed the bigger fan, if this doesn't work he'll order a new high end heat end with better cooling.

Changing out some parts and playing with settings looks to be paying off, both backing plate funnels are done in CFRP and a front bumper duct is soon done.

Got my backing plate half kit yesterday! Everything looks great and can't wait to get it mounted up next week!

I'm a little bummed out right now, but it's time to face the music. The CFRP will be a no go moving onwards. My brother have spent so much time of fine tuning and hundreds of $ changing out parts to high end stuff to no avail. That only leaves the CFRP filament as a source of the problem, but it's highly unlikely that we will be refunded the 400+$ of material we got laying around. We really wanted to offer the community this but sadly we can't, I hope you'll understand.

Moving forward only ASA plastic will be offered and I would like those of you who wanted CFRP to let me know what you want to do. Eggman will be partly refunded because only the backing plate funnels will be delivered in CFRP.

Again, sorry about all this.

Oi mate, sorry to hear that. Keep whatever the $ difference was to contribute to the R&D costs. Send whatever you can in whatever materials are practical.

Wow, that's way generous! Thanks you very much! I will include meshes for both front bumper ducts in case you want to use them. And I'll give you a discount on future products, I've been thinking of some kind of fang protection for the front bumper (if anyone is interested in that?).

1 kit ready, second kit being printed right now. I'll wait until the second kit is done so I don't have to apply an epoxy resin to 1 kit at a time. Don't like the mess.

Just wanted to let you know that I did a redesign on the backside of the ducts, this was done mainly for the printing process because of the problems we've had with warping (lifting from the baseplate). There seem to be quite some force pulling because of the rapid size change in the duct design. Hopefully this will help and give us a more consistent printing result.

Tomorrow 4 ducts will be ready to get a layer of epoxy resin, I've ordered 5 sets of metal parts from the laser cutters also. Will probably get them on monday. The backing plates have had a slight redesign after some input from MOTK.
