2006 BMW Z4M Roadster - Street Driveable Track Car

This 2006 E85 BMW Z4M Roadster with 110,000** km was primarily used as a track car, aggressively upgraded, and meticulously maintained.

** I gotta double check the mileage, but it’s close to that.

NOTE: This car is street-legal in some regions —it depends on your local regulations. It is street-legal in British Columbia, Canada.

PLEASE: Don't inquire about specific parts; I'm not planning to part it out.

TRANSPORT: The car is located in Vancouver, Canada. I will work with the buyer to sort out transport logistics.

DETAILS:
The 3.2L S54 inline six has had the rod bearings replaced, the VANOS upgraded to the best you can get, and the valve lash was recently adjusted. Oil was changed every two track days, and transmission and differential fluids were swapped out twice a year. Wheel alignment was done once, sometimes twice a year. Dyno at 292 whp before upgrades, so I suspect 320, which is about 350 engine hp.

Engine Upgrades:
- Turner Motorsports CSL intake - makes for one of the meanest-sounding engines in this price range; check the sound on the videos.
- Epic Motorsports Alpha N Tune
- DR Vanos S54 Vanos
- High-Pressure Vanos Oil Line
- Dinan Coils
- Spark plugs were changed last year with very little mileage since
- BW Group Engine Mounts
- Rogue Group Trans Mounts

Exhaust Upgrades:
- Super Sprint oversized catless headers
- Super Sprint 100 flow oversized Race Cats
- Super Sprint X-Pipe
- Super Sprint Race Mufflers
--- This is a fantastic-sounding handmade Italian exhaust system, and it’s pretty rare to find a Z4M with full Super Sprint, especially the race cats

Brake Upgrades:
- AP Racing Big Brake Kit on fronts - one of the best brake kits available
- Stock brakes on rears with ECS rotors
- DS2500 pads for the street and comes with a couple of sets of Ferodo racing pads for track
- stainless steel brake lines
- A set of Westerlund's race cooling ducts that I never mounted will be included.

Suspension Upgrades:
- MCS 2 Way Remote Coilovers with rear dry break - these are amazing, and you can easily adjust the car for street or track driving in a few seconds. The rear rebound settings are a bit of a pain to adjust, so I just left those as is. --- This suspension setup makes the car drive completely different and significantly better than the stock Z4M suspension.
- MCS 2 Inch Extension on rear
- H&R 03-08 BMW Z4 E85 27mm Adj. 2 Hole Sway Bar - Front
- Swift Coilover Springs (Pair) - 60mm ID / 6" Length / 10kg
- Swift Coilover Springs (Pair) - 60mm ID / 6" Length / 12kg
- Eibach ERS 60mm ID Coupling Spacer
- Eibach ERS 60mm ID Linear Tender Spring
- Ground Control Front Camber Plate Set Race
- Ground Control Rear Upper Mount Set
- Ground Control Rear Weight Jacker Set with Delrin Upper Spring Cones
- CDS Front Control Arm Bushings
- SPL Rear Trailing Arm Bushings
- SPL Rear Lower Control Arm Set
- Rolled Fenders for bigger tire clearance
--- All the above and a track alignment, corner weight and balance were done by AR Motorsports in Tigard, Oregon in June 2022

- Core 4 Motorsports Front Hub Set
- Core 4 Motorsports Rear Hub Set
--- These are the best and most durable hubs you can buy for these cars, built for endurance racing

Aero Upgrades:
- Genuine Voltex 1700mm E85 specific Swan Neck Wing imported from Japan
- Custom-made AMT Machine front splitter (local fabricator who does amazing work)
- Fancy Wide rear diffuser, customized to fit around Super Sprint race mufflers

Driving Position Upgrades:
- RTD Long Shifter - this is an amazing track shifter and did not require any modifications to the interior
- Sparco QRT Black Leather bucket seat
- Brey-Krause Racing Seat Mount
- Schroth Six Point Harness
- Passenger seat is stock
- Both 3-point belts are intact and still available for street use

Cosmetic Upgrades:
- Carbon Fibre engine compartment cover
- Carbon Fibre valve cover
- Blue LED interior and running lights
- Adjustable RGB Devil’s Eyes and Halos, use an app to change the colour
- Alcantara covered steering wheel with new plastic bits, looks new
- It comes with a partial car cover (covers just the roof and windows)
- It comes with a boot bag, which you can strap to the exterior of the trunk to carry extra stuff for road trips; I never used it.

Wheels & Tires:
- It comes with a set of Apex ARC-8 wheels with Pirelli performance all-season tires, which are great for Vancouver winters.

--- A set of Apex ARC-8 wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 275/35/18 square rubber is available for additional cash.

--- A set of Ray’s Racing TE-37 wheels in Hyper Blue with Nankang AR-1 275/35/18 square rubber is available for additional cash.

Stuff to be aware of:
- The Alpha N Tune causes a Check Engine light. A good tuner can get rid of this light, but I never bothered because it’s inconsequential.
- The original front underside dust cover is pretty thrashed, but it’s not mounted on the car.
- The rear bumper mount clips are broken, and the bumper can get loose on the sides (it can’t come off, but the sides pop out sometimes)
- The left front brake duct is loose and might have a broken clip; this is a pretty easy fix.
- The interior is in decent shape, but this was a track car, not a show car, so has some signs of wear and tear.

Service Records:
I have a ton of receipts, so you can see how well-maintained and upgraded the car is. I did some of the work, but reputable performance shops did most of it.

Original Parts Included:
I have most of the original stuff and will include whatever I have with the vehicle. You could part this out, return it to stock, and make much more money; I don’t have the time to do that. You will need another vehicle to take all these parts away.

Track History:
I got down to 1:52s at The Ridge, and I am confident this car can get sub 1:50 with fresh rubber and the right driver.

This is a really fun car to drive. It has a fantastic visceral driver feel, incredibly high and predictable mechanical grip, great low-end grunt, and aero mods that give noticeable medium—and high-speed stability.
