BlueBus
Are there any differences between removing the trunk rear bulkhead panel on a roadster and removing it on a coupe? I'm about to install a Bluebus unit. Lots of coupe pics and instructions but I haven't seen anything on the roadster. Thanks!!

Just ordered a bluebus for the roadster too, looking to see if you ever found the difference?

Greetings. I haven't attempted the installation yet, but I've received some TIS pages from Ted Salmon with BlueBus. If you PM your email address I'll forward the email string.
Thanks, Ted |

mothy5000: Did you locate any E85 specific instructions? I've looked both on the BlueBus site and on YouTube, but without success. Am I overcomplicating the installation?
Thanks, Ted |

Does the Z4 require an additional adapter? Also, does this mean you have to give up Sirius/XM stock unit?

I’ve ordered a bluebus unit and am waiting. in thr meantime, I went in my trunk and found the necessary connections. There are 2 connectors hidden in the wiring bundle for a CD changer. And, if you are going to add bluetooth phone integration, there is a 54pin port that you’ll also need. If you have the nav system, then there is a silver telematics unit a bit larger than a paperback book. you disconnect the 54 pin cable from this unit and use the bluebus adapter to connect it. The hardest part was getting to the wires. pulling up the carpet by the rear trunk wall is a serious PITA. The actual install should take about 10 minutes, if that. there is a pull tab that pokes through the carpet. I cut 2 horizontal and 2 vertical slits in the carpet to push it through. There are also a number of plastic carpet rivets that are bound to break when you remove them. I bought a bunch of replacements for when the unit is installed and the carpet goes back in place.

/Sorry for the late reply. Did you get yours installed? Ted has a YT video on the BB website for e85s. The e46 is pretty much the same. I velcroed mine to the trunk side of the back wall just behind the center console compartment.

Hi. I am currently on the struggle bus. I have found zero videos of an E85 roadster. Carpet sucked. Still wasn't able to remove it at top. I can only find one wire (3 pin) behind amp. Anyone know of a video for the Z4 M Roadster?
