Hi, guys!
I'm searching for the proper engine bay paint code and "gloss value" for a Silver Grey (A08) Z4M. Can anyone help?
It looks dark grey with a satin finish.

It's usually the base color code of the car without the clear coat finish

Looking for the same information. My exterior is Space Gray, but my engine compartment appears to be the same color as the OP. Apparently, not all units are the same in and out.

BMW did not color match the engine bay for this platform.

I asked at my local Bmw dealer, Bmw Sweden, Bmw Group Germany and finally Bmw Group Classic in Munich without success. They say: "we have no technical information regarding the color of interior body or chassis parts".
I also tried to get help from a car paint expert by scanning the color but they couldn't help because the paint surface was too small.
I ended up buying three similar colors in spray cans and used the one that was most similar when comparing to the car. The color was still not 100% but good enough for the small spot I needed to fix.

Hi, Polar. I almost asked the brand and color of paint that you found to be close, but then thought that there could very well be a noticeable difference between your engine bay shade and mine. But, if you have that paint information available, I'd be interested. Thanks, and thanks for all your follow-up.

Among all the 100s of colors that the store had, Paint code A36 (titan grau 2) was the closest. However, I would have liked the color to be a little less blue/violet and maybe a little bit darker. It is very close but you can see the difference.
I feel that further research is needed, maybe someone here in the forums has an idea?
