Finally got my seats refreshed - How do I remove the rails?

A few years ago, I scratched up my driver seat due to a bent rivet on the rear pocket of my jeans. I've always hated how it looked and I finally got it fixed and both seats refreshed to get rid of the scratches (driver side) and basically get them back to a healthier shape since it's a 17 year old car.

QUESTION: Now that they look incredible again, I want to get the rails off to get in and clean all the gunk, hair, dirt, stuck in the rails. Since the seats are out of the car, I would like to remove the stock rails from the seats and clean them up really nice and re-install them.

Here are some before and after for those who are interested:

Thanks! I am very happy with them as well. The repair was done by a franchise called Fibernew. Great work I hope the images do them justice. The colour is uniform IRL. Any discolouration in the photos can be blamed on the sun beaming through the window

Passenger seat:

Driver seat - some wrinkles in leather but only because it's the driver seat and gets more butt-time

Driver seat bolster wear and cracks also taken care of

i wouldent try and remove the rails mate, it can be some serious hasstle (going on Z3 rail experience), cant you just get a small brush with metho or something else and work the stuff thats in there free. Def the better option.

Thanks Vanne. You're right. I ended up taking purple power/degreaser at the rails and shop towels wrapped around a screwdriver along with using a small used toothbrush.

After careful and closer inspection, these rails do need to be refinished (chipping and rust). I might have them powdercoated next year and tackle the removal and install then.

I'm curious to see how they will hold up. I have a roadster where I'd like to get the seats re-done. I'm in Toronto as well. Wouldn't mind see this is person if possible.

Once this lockdown is lifted, let's all meet up for a cruise

Cheeky pic I took a couple of days ago when the weather was warmer and I nipped out for some take away lunch

Since everything is "closed" due to the lockdown you will have to call him to see if you can drop seats off at his house if you're willing to drive to Burlington. He runs the Mississauga location

Else, https://www.fibrenew.com/find-a-location/
